Endangered Wildlife Species

Do you know which wildlife species are endangered in South Africa?

Neither did we until we looked them up and we were surprised and saddened. Some species don't attract much media attention, so few people even know about them.

We have designed fabric and a range of products which will showcase the endangered species and donate a percentage of profits of the sales of these goods to one of the organizations involved in projects to reestablish the populations back to sustainable numbers.

The African wild dog (Lycaon pictus) also known as African hunting dog and African painted dog is the first species we are focusing on. The decline of populations is due to human-animal conflict, habitat fragmentation and disease outbreaks.

At last count there are approximately 6600 left in the wild.

Become part of our campaign to create awareness of this endangered species and help us get these "rascals" off the "doggone" list!
